DELRIN® (Click for Properties & Specs)
Back to the Materials Group main page.

Delrin® combines the toughness, dimensional stability and abrasion resistance of acetal with the tremendous self-lubricity of Teflon fibers. Oriented Teflon fibers are uniformly dispersed in the acetal resin to produce this high performance material. It is ideally suited for moving parts where lubrication is impractical or Pressure Velocity ( PV ) is a factor.

Uses: bushingsbearingsvalve seats sliding applicationswire guides anti-friction partsand many more.

Properties: low coefficient of friction high resistance to abrasion and wearexcellent dimensional stability
Tolerances: 1/4" to 1" diameter +.002 - .000 1-1/8" to 1-3/4" diameter +.005 - .000 2" diameter +.010 - .000 2-1/4" to 2-3/4" diameter +.015 - .000 3" to 5" diameter +.187 - .000 over 5" diameter sufficiently oversized to finish
